3: Installation and Set-up

3.3 Tower hardware configuration set-up

Using the components shown in Figure 3.2, which are supplied as standard, the UPS (and separate battery

enclosure where used) can be configured as a floor-standing Tower unit, as follows:

3.3.1 Stand-alone UPS module (without external battery cabinet)

1. Turn the UPS on its side and, using the screws provided, attach the four tower feet (A1) to the base of the

enclosure as shown in Figure 3.3.

2. Carefully lift the assembly and stand it on its feet.

3. Remove three screws from the top of the UPS enclosure, as shown in Figure 3.3 right-hand diagram.

4. Attach angle bracket (A2) to the top front of the enclosure, using two screws, such that the lip of the

bracket faces the front of the UPS.

5. Locate the new UPS top panel (A3) into the bracket and secure it in place by screwing it to the top rear of

the UPS enclosure using a single screw.
