Maintenance

5.1 Battery replacement

The UPS batteries are fitted in plastic-covered packs which are accessible from the front of the enclosure and

can be replaced without shutting down the UPS.

1. Using a small screwdriver as a lever, carefully remove the two press-fit plastic covers from the left hand

end of the UPS front panel. This will expose two front panel securing screws.

2. Remove the two front panel securing screws using a Phillips screwdriver.

3. Carefully pull the fascia away from the front panel to expose the battery packs.

4. Cut any cable ties that are holding the battery cables in place.

5. Disconnect the battery connector(s) and carefully withdraw the battery pack(s).

Use the above procedure in reverse order to fit the battery pack(s)

CAUTION: If battery replacement is necessary it should undertaken by a trained engineer.
